MARQUETTE -- After Thursday night's rain and thunderstorms, the annual Haunted Bog Walk at Presque Isle in Marquette is ready to go on Friday night.

More than 100 volunteers helped set up scare stations throughout the bog. Zombies, ghosts and other frights await those who enter the bog walk.

The Friendly Frights Forest is first at 6 p.m., and it gives families a chance to bring smaller children to the event, but starting at 7 p.m. things get a little scarier.

"We have the community members walk through, and it's about 20 minutes or so, and it's open to older ages, typically twelve and up, but it can get pretty scary, so we invite you all to come out and support Moosewood Nature Center and have a lot of fun tonight and tomorrow night," said Bog Walk Coordinator Dawn Marsh.

The Haunted Bog Walk is the largest fundraiser for the Moosewood Nature Center. It runs Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Last year they raised about $7,000. The bog walk is $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years old.
