MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- Two community groups squared off in a bowling competition to help raise money.
Superior Alliance for Independent Living and AMVET Post 122 held their first bowl-a-thon at Superior Lanes in Marquette Township.
Local businesses sponsored the two teams. Both groups received $400, but the big trophy went to the AMVETs.
"We had a ball, this was really fun," said Ray Bergman of AMVET Post 122. "Superior Lanes did a wonderful job getting this together for us."
Superior Entertainment says they plan to host future fundraisers.
