MARQUETTE -- Cliffs Natural Resources and the United Steelworkers union have reached a tentative contract agreement Wednesday.

It's a three year deal that's still subject to ratification by the union.  Contract negotiations had resumed Monday in Duluth, Minnesota.

Cliffs spokesman Dale Hemmila said it's a fair and equitable contract that will allow the company to remain competitive.  Contract details have not been disclosed.
