Kitchen fire sends three to hospital

ISHPEMING -- An early morning fire sent three people to the hospital for treatment.
The Ishpeming Fire Department was called out to the Canda Manor Apartments just after 1 a.m. Tuesday. The fire was in the kitchen area of a third floor apartment.
Twenty firefighters quickly put down the blaze. The kitchen of the apartment is a total loss, with smoke damage through the third floor of the building.
Three residents were taken to Bell Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 3 a.m. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
