MARQUETTE -- The suspects involved in Monday's stabbing of 19-year-old Zachary Skinner in Marquette were arraigned in court on Wednesday.

Taylor Shantel-Julann Mitchell and Danny Lee Weymouth, both of Ishpeming, are facing felony charges.

Weymouth faces a felony charge of conspiring to deliver controlled substances, and Mitchell faces one count of delivering controlled substances and two counts of assault against Skinner.

"That's a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000," said District Judge Dennis Girard.  "The third count alleges you made an assault upon Zachary Skinner with a dangerous weapon, too, with a knife.  That is a felony of up to four years in prison and a fine of up to $2,000."

Officials say the suspects got in a fight with Skinner, and Mitchell stabbed him in the head, leg, and back.

Mitchell and Weymouth are set for a preliminary hearing on July 2 in Marquette District Court at 2:45 p.m.
