ISHPEMING -- Ishpeming and Negaunee will soon receive statewide attention in an upcoming show on PBS. The program is called Under the Radar, and it features various communities throughout the state.

This past February, producers for the show chose Ishpeming for their annual ski jump competitions. While they were there, they also visited different restaurants like Midtown Bakery in Negaunee.

The Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce says the show offers an invaluable spotlight.

"They came up here, they chose Ishpeming and people around the state and Canada, Wisconsin. They'll be able to see a little piece of our town," said GINCC Executive Director, Elizabeth Peterson.  "And it's priceless; you can't get promotion like that. We could never afford promotion like that."

On Wednesday, the chamber will host a screening at Ishpeming's Ski Hall of Fame at 5 p.m.  They will also be raising money for the PBS affiliate, WNMU.
