BARAGA COUNTY -- Another plea is reached in an attempted murder and home invasion case in Baraga County.

Douglas Garver entered a no contest plea on Monday to assault with intent to do great bodily hard less than murder.  In exchange for his plea, five additional counts against him have been dropped.

In 2011, Garver and another man, Daniel Nieskes, allegedly broke into someone's home and severely beat the occupant with a wooden board.

Nieskes plead guilty to third degree home invasion in May.
