ENGADINE -- An Engadine, Michigan man has received 18 months in federal prison for conspiracy to manufacture marijuana.
Timothy Russell Nelson, 44, received a $1,000 fine, a $100 special assessment charge, and five years of supervised release in addition to the prison time. In January Nelson pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to manufacture 100 or more marijuana plants.
The charges against Nelson stemmed from a 2007 investigation that involved over 400 marijuana plants.
