MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Regional History Center will be holding their annual Remembering Those Who Served Tour at the Holy Cross Cemetery this Saturday.

The tour is a chance to learn about residents of the U.P. who served in wars throughout American history. The group will walk through the cemetery, hearing stories about those who served from the Civil War all the way up to the Vietnam War.

The walk will end at a Vietnam Veterans Memorial site where they will play taps.

"It's a great time to learn fascinating stories about people who did honor this country by serving in different ways, and some gave up their lives and others did live through their war service," said Rosemary Michelin, a librarian.

"People will find the stories really interesting, and it's a nice time to honor important people in our community."

The history center is asking for a five dollar donation to attend the tour. That money will go to future projects at the Marquette Regional History Center. The cemetery tour will start at 1 p.m. this Saturday.
