MARQUETTE -- More than 60 local vendors set up camp this weekend at the Lakeview Arena for the annual UP Recreational Show.
The Listalas traveled from Houghton to get a good deal.
"We're looking to get a jet ski for some fun in the summer. We are both, he's already retired and I'll be retiring at the end of the school year. So we can have some summer fun together and with the grandkids, pulling a tube, maybe doing some water skiing," said Listala.
Her husband is looking at a used jet ski for eight grand but is hoping for an even better bargain.
"A brand new one for the same price as this one," said Marlin Listala.
Vendors had everything you could want for outdoor fun, everything from bicycles, RVs, boats, kayaks, and camping equipment.
Sarah Wolfenberg with Powersports says this year people are more interested in four wheelers.
"A 100 percent into these side-by-sides, the utility vehicles, anything they can seat multiple people in, anything from two to four people are very popular," said Wolfenberg.
Organizers say around 2,000 people showed up this weekend.
"Sales are doing fine; they are average with the last five years. You have your up years, you have your down years. A lot of it is weather related, but we are right on average of the last five years," said Same.
It looks like the Listalas will be taking home that jet ski.
"The trailer comes with this one so it's looking better and better," Listala said.
