GRAND RAPIDS (AP) -- West Michigan is getting a new way to simultaneously bar-hop and get a workout.
The Grand Rapids Press reports (http://bit.ly/IQTwuC) a 2,300-pound, minivan-sized pedicab offers seats for 12 people who can pedal, three passengers on a bench and the driver. Dubbed the Great Lakes Pub Cruiser, its top speed is 5 mph, and it's scheduled to make its official debut on Saturday night.
The pedicab was seen at the city's St. Patrick's Day parade last month.

The riders power the $60,000 street-legal vehicle by pedaling. The company that runs it will provide a designated driver of sorts to handle the steering.
The vehicle has seat belts and riders are offered helmets. Before hopping aboard they must sign a waiver and they may have non-alcoholic drinks aboard.
