HARVEY -- Although full-time lane closures won't begin until April 23, the early stages of road construction in Harvey began on Monday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will start blasting on US-41 and M-28 from the Carp River in Marquette to Bayou Street in Harvey after 7 p.m. on weeknights. the project also includes construction of a multi-use pathway along Lake Superior.
As a reminder, one land of traffic will be maintained once lanes are closed. A temporary traffic signal will also be installed at the Marquette Branch Prison entrance.
