MARQUETTE -- Catholic Social Services of the Upper Peninsula will soon be spreading to the western U.P. Keenagers in Wakefield began in the 1980s and has been providing low cost care to seniors needing assisted living services. On Thursday, the Catholic Social Services in Marquette announced that they will be acquiring this operation and will continue to use it to further their mission.
"This is, it really fits into what we do here in the Upper Peninsula, and it gives us that footprint on the western U.P., which is really what we've been looking for," said Deacon Dan Powers.
Powers also said that the facility is in great shape and is currently fully staffed. Catholic Social Services plans to keep the facility as is and continue to provide low cost assisted living to seniors in the western Upper Peninsula.
