MARQUETTE -- The Superior Dome in Marquette is, once again, being transformed this weekend, and this time it's geared toward recreation lovers.

Vendors for the the annual Boat, Sport and RV Show started their day early Friday, wheeling in the latest models of four-wheelers, RVs, and boats. With gas prices skyrocketing, vendors said this is a great opportunity to explore other modes of transportation. Downwind Sports is showcasing their latest bicycles, kayaks, and a popular alternative: stand-up paddle boards.

"The great thing about the recreation show here at the Superior Dome is that there are lots of vendors, and we encourage people to come down, check it out. With the weather being what it was all last week, people are really fired up for spring and summer. This is an opportunity to come down, get great prices on the equipment, walk out with it on Saturday or Sunday and have their toys," said co-owner of Downwind Sports, Bill Thompson.

The show continues Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
