NEGAUNEE -- An early Friday morning rollover accident leaves one dead, another injured, and a third in jail. It happened shortly after 3 a.m.

A vehicle was headed northbound on CR 550 south of CR KH when it ran off the roadway and struck a snow bank, according to police. The vehicle then rolled over and hit the guy-wire of a utility pole. A passenger, Michael Tyler Abbott, 21, of Big Bay was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated and causing death. She is currently lodged at Marquette County Jail.
