MARQUETTE -- Governor Rick Snyder spoke with TV6 for a wide ranging interview before he headed to Escanaba on Friday.
In the interview, the Governor rejected calls within his party to bring up Right to Work legislation this year. Snyder says "relentless positive action" is his focus, and anti-union legislation, like the one recently passed in Indiana, only drives a wedge between lawmakers and hinders progress.
We asked the governor some questions directly from our Facebook page in regards to education cuts.
"I didn't like cutting education," said Governor Snyder. "But we had a billion and a half dollar deficit. So we cut K-12 much less than most other areas. The thing I'm most looking forward to this next year when we have a surplus is investing back into education."
