Around 35 vendors showed off their wedding must-haves
MARQUETTE -- It's every girl's dream and dozens of vendors make it happen every year. That's right, a bridal fair held at the Great Lakes Room at NMU on Sunday attracted hundreds of women and brides-to-be.
Around 35 vendors showed off their wedding must-haves, from the cake to the photographer, tuxedos and, of course, bridal gowns. For Dan's Bridal & Tuxedo in Marquette, this is the biggest advertising event they put on each year. The highlight of the event: a fashion show displaying all the latest trends for the modern bride and groom.
"Owning a bridal shop, this is something that you pretty much have to do," said Kay Fure, owner of Dan's Bridal & Tuxedo. "You want the girls to come out and see your fashion, and this is a way of not only showing your fashion, but making an afternoon that they're able to pick up other vendors that they need."
There's no rest for this bridal shop owner. Fure said planning for next year's event starts Monday.
