IRON MOUNTAIN -- Shoppers across the U.P. are taking advantage of post-Christmas deals.  As the day after Christmas is a national holiday, many have the day off and took the opportunity to spend their gift cards at places with already big day-after Christmas discounts.

Walmart, K-mart, and many local businesses were packed with people trying to take advantage of deals and treating themselves to things they might not have received yesterday.

“We're just getting our everyday pop and food items that are all on sale and just taking up all the clearance stuff that's going on after Christmas,” said Jackie Geneva.

Returns are also big today, as many people might be secretly returning unwanted gifts to buy something they might be a little happier with.
