ESCANABA -- The case of a 23-year-old Gladstone man, accused of abusing a 4-year-old boy, has been bound over to Delta County Circuit Court.

Allen Joseph Brunette appeared in district court Tuesday for the continuation of his preliminary hearing. He's charged with two counts of child abuse and a third count of domestic violence, third offense.
    
Brunette allegedly abused his girlfriend's son when the boy's mother was at work.
    
Dr. Joseph Jameson from Marquette General testified over the phone.

"He's got contusions on his face on his forehead, around his right eye. Also, he had contusions around his ears on both ears," said Dr. Jameson.

Brunette's bond was raised to $50,000 cash.
    
A date has not been set for his appearance in circuit court.
