Surface high pressure is dominating our weather pattern right now. Its center to our south is making for light westerly winds.
As it moves east, low pressure will move in and bring southwesterly winds by Saturday afternoon. This will make things a bit warmer the next few days, but rest assured, Saturday will be cold.
Saturday's highs will be around 24 degrees for much of Upper Michigan, but a few spots will be colder. Skies will be partly cloudy. Lows will be in the teens. We may have seen the end of single digit lows for the time being.
Sunday will be considerably warmer with highs in the 30s approaching 40 as we see a warm front pass overhead, but conditions could be a little windier.
