ESCANABA -- Paul Mitchell the School in Escanaba put on a special night of pampering for a group of girls and their 'Big Sisters.'

It's called Diva Day, and it's the first community project for the stylists and the local Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization.

There were 27 "Littles" who got their nails painted and hair styled for free.

The three-hour event was a chance for the Paul Mitchell students to beautify the children who otherwise may not get an opportunity to feel like a diva.

"These kinds of services that we offer here, we thought, let's treat the little kids to something special today.  A lot of the Paul Mitchell culture is giving back to the community, and so I decided to call up Maureen at Big Brothers/Big Sisters," said Mary Doyen of the school.

The ladies and their Littles were also treated to pizza and received a gift bag stocking to go.
