HOUGHTON -- The Houghton Police Department is looking for information regarding a hit-and-run that happened on Thursday at 6:05 a.m.

A 48-year-old Laurium woman's Chevy Equinox was rear ended by the suspect on M-26 and Sharon Avenue.  The suspect initially stopped, then fled the scene and hit the victim and her vehicle, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white woman with blonde hair who has a foreign accent, possibly German or Russian.  The vehicle is a white SUV, possibly a GMC or Jeep Cherokee.
