Calvin Martz, the Michigamme man accused of crminal sexual conduct and assaulting police officers, was found guilty Wednesday night.

Martz showed no emotion as the jury found him guilty of all five counts, which include first degree criminal sexual conduct, unlawful imprisonment and three counts of assaulting a police officer.

Martz is scheduled for sentencing on December 2 and asked for a court appointed attorney after the verdict was read.  Assistant Prosecutor Judd Spray says he feels this is a win for all victims of sexual and domestic violence.

"On behalf of the victim and victims of sexual and domestic violence throughout the county, I'm gratified that the jury paid close attention to the evidence and arrived with a verdict that, I think, is both just and proper," said Spray.

Martz's live-in companion, Karen Kirby, is set to start her trial on December 13.
