MANISTIQUE -- Manistique Papers has announced the mill will reopen on Monday, September 19.
The mill was forced to cease operations six weeks ago under Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
In a statement released Friday evening, company officials say with the financial support of mBank and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the mill has made a miraculous recovery.
President and General Manager Jon Johnson said the workers will be called up immediately. The mill employs 150 people.
The mill will be manufacturing its traditional 100 percent recycled hi-bright printing and writing grades along with a new line of 100 percent recycled Kraft papers.
