MARQUETTE -- Kids had a good reason to get outside and enjoy the day at the Community Carnival in Marquette Saturday.
The event was sponsored by the Salvation Army, and there was a variety of activities for children like riding a pony, jumping around in a bounce house, or even riding on big wheel tricycles.
"It's just a chance for us to do something nice for the community, just to say thank you for supporting the Salvation Army all these many years," said Salvation Army Captain, Joel Arthur.
Freshly grilled food was available like hot dogs and hamburgers, and those who attended could treat themselves to cotton candy. Everything provided was free of charge.
