Stabbing case heads to higher court

MENOMINEE -- The case against a Marinette, Wisconsin man accused of stabbing another man in late July is heading to circuit court.
The preliminary hearing for 18-year-old Dakota Paris was held Tuesday in Menominee County District Court.
Paris was charged with felonious assault for an incident on the morning of July 30, shortly after midnight. The incident took place on the 1100 block of 10th Avenue in Menominee, when fighting broke out between two groups of people.
That ended with a 24-year-old man being hospitalized at St. Vincent's in Green Bay for a stab wound. Paris was taken into custody.
The case against Paris was bound over to Menominee County Circuit Court. His arraignment is set for September 12.
