MARQUETTE -- It's time for a change at Messiah Lutheran Church in Marquette.  Daniel Stone, the church's youth minister, is leaving.

Sunday, the congregation held a celebration in honor of his 16 years of service.  His new home in Marion, Iowa is where he'll go to serve at a church nearby in Cedar Rapids.

This is just one of the many changes recently in his life.  Stone became a husband and stepfather earlier this month.  He says that he'll miss it here terribly.

"I'm going to miss the people.  I'm not going to miss February, but I’m going to miss the people.  I dearly love it.  It'll always feel like home, and I'll always come back to visit," said Stone.

Stone organized the Homework Help and Mentoring Assistance program for the youth at Messiah.
