NEGAUNEE -- A water boil advisory has been issued for people residing on Birch, Cedar, Sheldon, North Hungerford, Collins and Lakeview streets on Friday until the water has been tested.

This advisory is due to valve repairs by the City of Negaunee Water Department on North Hungerford Ave.

The Water Department says you may lose pressure in your water during this time.

After water is restored, the city plans to flush the system and take samples for bacteriological analysis.

Again, the boil advisory will remain in effect until the bacteria tests come back, confirming that the water is safe to drink.
