The Fourth of July not only symbolizes the independence of our country, but it's really become the pinnacle of the summer season
CHAMPION -- Many families took to the U.P.'s campgrounds this weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Kids camping at Van Riper State Park in Champion decorated their bikes in the best red, white, and blue streamers, flags, and balloons. They then paraded on a half-mile trail through the campground to show off their patriotic creations.
"I'm here to celebrate it and have a lot of fun," says Bella Nora of Ishpeming.
"I'm just decorating my bike and biking in the parade," adds Xavier Tarvainen of Chassell.
The campground offers the bike parade to kids every year as an activity to get them excited about the Fourth of July.
