MUNISING -- A group of downstate teachers are working to bring the beauty and natural history of the U.P. to the rest of the world.

Four teachers from Grand Rapids inner city schools are working on a series of podcasts about Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore for the National Parks Service website.  The project will allow those looking to visit the area or just learn more about it, to do so at the click of a button.

"We'd like to do a 360 camera [shot] of the different sites so that if you're not able to walk out to the falls that you would get a really good perspective, kind of like that virtual feeling," said teacher Kathleen Clouth.

They're also developing curriculum to enhance school programs in geology, ecology and natural history for inner city middle school students.

The group will be at the Pictured Rocks area for another two weeks.
