Dreary weather led the City of Marquette to close their public beaches Saturday, just one day after they officially opened for summer! Lifeguards closed McCarty's Cove and South Beach at noon due to inclement and cold weather.

Lifeguards say the beaches are scheduled to re-open Sunday at noon.
