Proceeds will go to Bay Cliff Campership Appeal
MARQUETTE -- This week, a cup of coffee could help send special needs children to camp.
The Marquette business Cruise-n-Coffee has raised more than $8,000 for local charities. They're hoping to increase that amount this week with a fund-raiser for Bay Cliffs' Campership Appeal program. That's the fund that makes it possible to offset the expense of camp for families in need.
They're hoping to raise at least $350 but have high hopes for even more.
"If 200 (people) come through, order a grande or a special of the day from us at twenty-five cents a pop, that's $350 for a week," says Dawn Johnson of Cruise-n-Coffee. "We would love to see more. We did this a couple years ago and raised over $1,000 for Bay Cliff. So it would be outstanding if we could hit that goal again."
Twenty-five cents for each grande or special of the day drink will be donated to Bay Cliff. The fund-raiser will continue through Sunday.
