Nice weekend weather means better week?

In the recent past, the weather has been nice during the week and a little dreary during the weekend. Well, with all of the nice weather we're having this weekend across the Upper Peninsula, one must wonder what that means for the weather during the next week.
It won't be so nice. We're expecting chances for rain and thunderstorms through Wednesday. No torrential downpours or all-day rain is expected. And currently, there's no severe weather forecasted either; just a few passing rainshowers and a rumble of thunder here and there on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
The rain on Monday will be associated with the weaker southern end of a low pressure system in Canada. Tuesday's rain could be any lingering showers. Also, the atmosphere will have the appropriate conditions for a few showers to develop across the U.P. region. Wednesday's rain appears to come from the low pressure system which is currently lingering over the western U.S.
Again, we are drier than we're supposed to be for this time of year. The precipitation budget is almost three inches in the red.
The temperatures will stay warm though. Only a few passing cool fronts will help us stay out of the 80s for daytime highs later in the week.
