Memorial Day weekend is coming and it looks like gas prices might be over the $4 mark as early as Wednesday morning, according to Senior Petroleum Analyst, Patrick DeHaan, at GasBuddy.com.

"I expect stations to increase prices to $3.89-$4.15 by weekend with a majority of stations starting to raise prices as early as tomorrow morning," says DeHaan.

The high volume of drivers during the holiday weekend is not the only sign of a rise in price at the pump.  DeHaan stated that the ExxonMobil's Joliet, Illinois refinery was having another unexpected problem while restarting the facility.

The Great Lakes region is expected to see increases, while outside areas will continue to slowly fall according to DeHaan.
