She's done everything from nursing to waitressing in her short 100 years
NEGAUNEE -- Saturday, Mae Rogers of Negaunee celebrated her 100th birthday with relatives, neighbors, friends, and members of her church community.
Mae was born in Crystal Falls but has lived in Negaunee for most of her life.
She says she's proud of her one daughter, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mae says her secret to making it to 100 years old is her diet and her 'get-up-and-go' attitude.
"And I'm too tough to kill, and I make old age look good, and humor is the spice of life. That's my prerogative!"
Mae also says she was touched by how many people came out to celebrate her birthday.
