NEGAUNEE -- More than 4,000 people showed up for the Green Bay Packer's Tailgate Tour at the Superior Dome Tuesday.
Before leaving town Wednesday, the tour bus made a few extra stops for some very lucky fans.
At first, Negaunee Middle School students thought Wednesday's fire alarm was just another drill. But they had a big surprise waiting outside for them: the Green Bay Packer's Tailgate Tour bus.
"The looks on the kids' faces when the bus came in was just worth it," says Negaunee Middle School Assistant Principal Paul Jacobson.
Six current and former Green Bay Packers and Packer's President Mark Murphy had a special message for the kids about bullying in school.
Murphy says they make stops like this because they care about their fans, especially the ones they don't get a chance to see as often.
"To me, this seems like more Wisconsin then Michigan; I can see why people here are Packer fans," says Murphy.
They didn't leave the U.P. without greeting some of Marquette's longest Packer fans as well. They met and spoke to an eager crowd at the Jacobetti Home for Veterans.
"This is great, I'll always be a Packer fan, it's great," says veteran Burt Parolini.
"Hopefully we'll be able to come back again and make sure people continue to have great feelings about the Packers," Murphy said.
For now the bus is headed to its next Tailgate Tour destination in Ashland, Wisconsin.
