MICHIGAMME -- The Moonshine Art Gallery isn't on a major highway, nor is it in one of the U.P.'s larger communities.  You really have to look to find it, and that's what makes the shop a FOX UP Hidden Treasure.

Since opening 10 years ago, the gallery has gone from representing 10 artists to over 40.

Moonshine shows a variety of modern art, including metals, sculpture, watercolor, and oil paintings.

But the pieces do have one thing in common:  each has a connection to the Upper Peninsula.

"I have art from a lot of very different professional artists.  Now some of these professional artists are self taught or they went to university or they have taught art," says Friederike Roach, owner of Moonshine Art Gallery.
