The pedestrian was transported to Marquette General with injuries

MARQUETTE TWP -- Update:  Monday, April 25, 4:45 a.m.

According to Michigan State Police from the Negaunee post, the pedestrian hit by an automobile Sunday night was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Marquette General Hospital.

The person was released and no names have been released in the incident at this time.

Michigan State Police responded to a car-pedestrian crash on US-41 in Marquette Township just before 10 p.m. Sunday night.

A vehicle going westbound on US-41 struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the highway from the center lane near Menards.

The pedestrian was transported to Marquette General with some injuries.  No word as to how serious those are at this time.

Passengers of the vehicle involved in the accident did not acquire any injuries.  The incident remains under investigation.
