Bank robber sentenced

MARINETTE, WI -- A Wisconsin man, arrested minutes after he robbed a bank last year in Marinette County, will be heading to prison.

On Monday, Joshua James Bonin received a sentence of 12 years in prison, to be served consecutive to any sentence he is currently serving.  He will also have ten years extended supervision and must pay restitution.

Bonin plead no contest to an armed robbery charge.

On November 29, 2010, the Bank North Branch in Amberg, Wisconsin, was robbed.  Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect and the vehicle he drove off in.  Bonin was arrested 12 minutes after the robbery.

He plead no contest to the charges.

At the time, Bonin was on parole for another armed robbery in Wisconsin.
