MARQUETTE -- For the second year in a row, the Michigan Business and Professional Association has named Marquette General one of West Michigan's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

The award honors companies that recognize employees as their greatest asset.

This years winners practice innovative strategies and represent best practices in human resources in industries such as healthcare, automotive, insurance, hospitality, communications and nonprofit organizations.

"Employee engagement plays a big role as far as the support that the employees give each other, the support that they feel that we get from the administrators," said Employee Relations Chair Jill Burbey.

The Michigan Business and Professional Association will honor the 101 companies on Thursday, May 5, at the Pinnacle Center in Grand Rapids.
