Another sunny day for the U.P.

More sunshine is gracing the vast majority of Upper Michigan as high pressure that has dominated our weather continues to, uh...dominate our weather.  But, that sunshine hasn't been much of a struggle to achieve.

What has been more of a struggle has been a return to more seasonable temperatures.  Highs over this past weekend were as low as 15 degrees below average, cold enough for some lake-effect snow showers.  But that has slowly changed through the course of this week as this ridge of high pressure has gradually weakened and milder air has filtered in.  Most places are around the 40 degree mark today.

Even though Thursday may bring some more clouds, temperatures will once again tick upwards--most locales should reach the into the 40s.  This comes as a result of that high pressure sliding away from us to the northeast, however.  Accordingly, more changes will be in the works as we conclude our work week.
