Taxi driver robbed at knifepoint in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN -- Update 4:20 p.m. EST
The Iron Mountain Police department have arrested a 25-year-old man they believe responsible for the reported armed robbery of a taxi driver from Escanaba.
The man is being held in the Dickinson County Correctional Center. His name is not being released until he is arraigned.

The Iron Mountain Police Department was notified of an armed robbery of a taxi cab driver out of Escanaba on Tuesday night around 10 p.m. The incident occurred on South Stephenson Avenue's 100 block.
The Escanaba-based taxi cab driver had picked up a man who wanted to be taken to Iron Mountain, according to police.
Upon arriving in Iron Mountain, the man threatened the taxi driver with a knife and demanded money. He fled the scene after taking an undisclosed amount of money.
The man is described as a white male in his 20s, and is approximately 5'6" to 6' with a thin build.
