NEGAUNEE -- The Negaunee Police Department was called to a single vehicle crash on E. Maas St. near Forge Road at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The driver of the Toyota was Brandi Junak, 23, of Negaunee, according to police officials.
She lost control of her vehicle, which left the roadway and struck a utility pole, which broke and caused electrical wires to fall on the vehicle and the road.
Junak was taken to Bell Memorial Hospital, where she was treated for injuries. When she was released, she was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Unlawful Use of a Registration Plate, as well as cited for No Proof of Insurance.
Police believe alcohol and slippery roads were contributing factors to the crash.

Update 7:30 a.m.
At least one person has been injured in the single car crash.
The vehicle was discovered by another motorist who notified authorities and stayed on the scene until emergency crews arrived.
Emergency crews used vehicle extrication to remove the individual.
Snow covered, icy roads are believed to have contributed to the crash.

Marquette County and Negaunee City emergency crews are on the scene of a single car crash on Marquette County Road 492 between US-41 and M-35 by Forge Road.
According to TV6's Nikki Davidson, a single car has run off the road and hit a power pole. The crash caused power lines to fall on the car.
Emergency crews are being hampered by fallen wires and are waiting for power company personnel to turn off power.
No word yet on the occupant(s) of the vehicle at this time.
Officials are telling motorists to use an alternative route as they reroute existing traffic on 492.
