Here are some of the stories we're working on for tonight's news.

Baraga County Memorial Hospital is reporting major losses. The $1.1 million loss for the last fiscal year is added to a current fiscal year deficit of $879,653. The story on your TV6 Early News tonight.

The Census numbers are showing just three U.P. counties with gains in 2010. One of them is Baraga County. Tonight on your TV6 Early News, reporter Kelly Gibbs looks at the numbers and hears from those in Baraga County on how they have been able to hold their own in a tough economic climate.

The Houghton County Jail needs to be upgraded or replaced. To help that process, a special group with the expertise of those at Michigan Tech University, are coming up with a plan and design for the jail.
