The Trenary area is famous for two things: toast and the annual Outhouse Classic race
TRENARY -- This year's theme for the races was "18 Years and Still Wiping" in honor of the 18th year of the Outhouse Classic race.
Thousands of people flocked to downtown Trenary to take in the spectacle.
This year, 24 teams took part in racing their homemade outhouses of wood and cardboard down the main street.
"They're quirky, fun, people are dressing up more, they're trying to build better and bigger outhouses, they're going with themes, they're having fun," says Dianne Peterson, treasurer of the Outdoor Classic.
It was only two dollars for a team to participate.
The unique event actually raises a lot of money for the community.
Last year, with a profit of more than $8,000, they were able to purchase new playground equipment as well as contribute to a scholarship fund at Superior Central.
