MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- Connie Bell of Marquette needs your help.  Bell has been a bartender at Fat Boyz Bar in Marquette Township for over 13 years and was recently diagnosed with cancer.

To help with her medical expenses, the bar is throwing her a fund-raiser.  The event will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. this Sunday.

There will be food, music, as well as auction items which include Detroit Tiger tickets, Green Bay Packer tickets, and a day at Mackinac Island.

"Connie's been an awesome employee and a friend for years, but you know, just when you're stricken with something like this, you know they do have insurance, but there's always the little extra things, you know," said Fat Boyz owner Tom Myers.  "With not working and stuff, it's important everybody shows their support."

Fifty percent of the bar income for the day will also benefit Connie.
