CALUMET -- Wednesday marks night three of FOX UP's week of Top Choice pasty nominees.  We're taking you to the Copper Country to Connie's Kitchen in Calumet.

Connie's is so popular, they get orders for up to 600 pasties.  And that's because they don't serve your traditional Cornish pasty.  At Connie's, they make their pasties with carrots which gives them a more Finnish flavor.

They also feature vegetarian pasties made with American cheese and on Wednesdays, they have special green pepper pasties.

They say their product is pretty top notch; in fact they have the awards to prove it.

"Well, we have won four awards already for pasties, so the pasty fest in Calumet...so we've won that, so I think we have an award winning pasty.  I hope they vote for us," says Connie Hella, owner of Connie's Kitchen.

Connie says that three generations of her family have been making pasties.  She also has miners in her family who would take them into the mines.
