HOUGHTON -- The U.P. Regional Public Health Lab in Houghton has closed down.
It tested its final water samples Friday, but according to the Western U.P. Health Department, there are other options for its customers.
Anyone wondering where to take a water sample can talk to their local health department. All have kits available and will be able to identify the closest and most cost-effective way to obtain results.
Though the Houghton facility has closed, there is still a private lab in Iron County and a regional lab in Gaylord where people can mail their samples.
