MARQUETTE -- Another U.P. organization is in the running for a Pepsi Refresh grant, which is good news for the U.P.  The Noquemanon Trail Network is the newest entry in the Pepsi Refresh competition, and they hope to bring some money to their cause.

They're hoping to build more single-track, beginner trails primarily used for hiking and biking.  The NTN has a goal to build 100 miles of trail in Marquette County by 2020, and only five miles of the trail has been built this year.

The project is in need of more funding, and organizers are hoping the $25,000 from Pepsi can secure trail building equipment, purchase construction materials, and hire contracted labor for the project.

"We're partnering with a lot of different local agencies that are competing for a grant as well, and right now, we are ranked 64th, so we need your vote," said Operations Coordinator Nicole Dewald.

To help out the NTN in their Pepsi Refresh contest, go to the website and vote for them.
