IRON COUNTY -- Over 45 minutes of CPR was not enough to save an Illinois man who was hunting in Iron County.

Peter Carl Pearsall, 66, was reported down by his companions when they called the Iron County Sheriff's Department.  The incident occurred off Deer Lake Road in Hematite Township.

Northstar EMS responded and pronounced Pearsall dead on scene shortly after noon.  The cause of Pearsall's death was determined to be medically related.
